The Top 25 “Everyday” Inflammation Fighting Foods

June 1st, 2007 · 2 Comments

There are actually lots of inflammation fighting foods. And, as you may have expected, all fruits and veggies contain healthy phytochemicals that benefit the body.

However, science has identified several whose phytochemical properties are geared toward fighting our big enemy- uncontrolled or chronic inflammation.

So, since your going to eat those fruits and veggies anyway, why not eat the ones that will get to health faster?

Top 25 Inflammation Fighting Foods

  1. broccoli
  2. cabbage
  3. cauliflower
  4. really green lettuce
  5. spinach
  6. black beans
  7. chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans)
  8. kidney beans
  9. navy beans
  10. peas
  11. pinto beans
  12. grapefruit
  13. lemon
  14. lime
  15. oranges
  16. blackberries
  17. blueberries
  18. rasberries
  19. strawberries
  20. apricots
  21. cantaloupe
  22. carrots
  23. mango
  24. pumpkin
  25. sweet potato

P.S. Don’t forget that if you (pardon the word) “pervert” these natural foods by drenching them with sugar, salad dressing or loads of good ol’ butter in a frying pan, then you can’t count on those phytochemicals to survive the trip from the store to your mouth. I know sweet potato pie is GOOD but try to eat just the sweet potato sometimes.
